Contemporary Abstract Paintings - What Are We To Make Of Them!...
It is sometimes quite a problem to, in fact, come to terms with what is called contemporary abstract paintings. Often it is a mental or spiritual form of expression of the artist that we see before us.
We cannot always see the artists insight on the given contemporary abstract paintings and, at the end of the day, we can draw our own conclusions as to what we may think it represents.
Let us face it, this is not always easy! Often other people see things completely differently in contemporary abstract paintings and it can be very interesting too, to actually have their input. So, what is the meaning of contemporary abstract paintings? This is hard to define. I can only say these paintings seem unrealistic.
The art portrayed seems to be based more on intuitive feelings, rather than actually something that has to be seen. Although saying this, often the contemporary abstract paintings, their shapes or forms and colours may have been in the artists imagination, with the impression firmly stamped on their minds.
You could say contemporary abstract paintings show great vision. It is confusing for people, as sometimes, very plain forms are expressed and end up being completely misunderstood. It is fair to say it is not always expected of us to understand the workings of the mind of the artist when he created these contemporary abstract paintings.
It could be said that any form that is created artificially is really a variety of contemporary abstract paintings. For example, Jackson Pollock was into contemporary abstract paintings whereby his paint was either thrown at the canvas, spattered or smeared.
Really, I would say you need a great degree of sensitivity to comprehend any genre of art as it may contain only the essence of the original subject, but yet will emit emotions.
However, I find that on the whole, this type of art usually holds your interest. If you see one of these works in a shop you will probably realise that you cannot take your eyes off it. The contemporary abstract paintings suck you in, there is just something about it. In other words, it gains an emotional response from you.
